The Daily Dump

Today is Thursday, February 11th, 2021, and today the world or at least the sports world has 100% officially lost it, they have gone "Covid-Crazy," with the talks of Russell Wilson potentially leaving the Seahawks for the 2021 NFL season. Last week reports came out of Wilson being unhappy with how Pete Carol is running the offense and the offensive scheme they are running these days in Seattle. Pete Carol still has a bit of an old school style of playing calling in today's NFL, he attempts to run the ball a lot on 1st and 2nd downs, play actions passes off the run game, and control the clock, beat their opponents into the ground each week, but now with new rules in the NFL to protect receivers and quarterbacks things are changing. Lots of teams a running a lot more crossing patterns across the middle of the field now that the new rules make it very hard for defenders to play defense without being fined or flagged, years ago the middle of the field was a very scary place, and few people like Jerry Rice and the "Playmaker," Michael Irvin were able to get the job done and walk back to the huddle after. Now guys are able to run all around the football field and not have to worry if their block will get knocked off by linebackers like Ray Lewis and Junior Seau, and Wilson wants to take full advantage of that, specially with his talented and jacked wide receiver D.K. Metcalf. That right there is a perfect combo to destroy the NFL for the next few seasons and then some, D.K. is huge man and can take all the hits and has blazing speed, not too many D.B.'s can handle him, yet Carol insists on 2 yards and a cloud of dust. I bet that this was a very calculated statement made by Russell Wilson to propel the Seahawks to start now on their prep for the 2021 season, maybe not fire Pete Carol but perhaps look into the new Offensive coordinator to stir things up in Seattle, after all they were only a couple wins away from being in and winning the Super Bowl, they have the talent.
