Today is Wednesday, February 10th, 2021, and it is a sad day around the sports and football world today with the recent passing of a trail blazer of football, a leader, a teacher, and most of all, a good man, Marty Schottenheimer. "There's. gleam, men, get them gleam," referring to the Lombardi Trophy prior to the AFC championship game where sadly a one, Mr. John Elway worked his magic and came up with a little something called, "the drive," and beat Marty's Brown's to go to the Super Bowl that season. Schott's never was able to get to or win the Super Bowl during his head coaching career in the NFL, but do not let that fool you, he is one of the greatest head coaches to ever do it in the NFL, lead teams like the Chargers in the 2000's, he was the Rivers was going to be a good pick over Brees, he saw L.T. was a Hall of Fame running back when he was hardly noticed out of TCU. Hopefully now Marty has gotten to his gleam moment and is resting peacefully now, man, we lost another legend of the game. Mr. Schottenheimer, you will not be forgotten and thank you for what you did for the game professional football.
